At a recent all-school mass, Father Jeff gave us a wonderful sermon to think about. He taught us the important of J.O.Y. and the importance of putting Jesus first in our lives.
The "J" stands for putting JESUS first. The letter "O" stands of putting OTHER people second and the letter "Y" putting YOU last. We have talked about J.O.Y. at a recent all-student prayer session. During that conversation we decided to put JESUS and OTHER PEOPLE ahead of ourselves by feeding the hungry just like Jesus told us to do.
The local feed pantry needs breakfast cereals so we decided to collect 500 boxes of breakfast cereal by October 10. On October 16 we will hold our first "Cereal Box Dominoes Challenge." Students will set up the cereal boxes in the gym and when it is ready, someone lucky student will push the first cereal box starting a chain reaction of 500 cereal boxes falling around the gym floor.
PLEASE DONATE CEREAL BOXES STARTING SEPTEMBER 16 TO OCTOBER 10.
